Job Summary
Assistant Distribution Center Manager assists the Distribution Center Manager in overseeing all warehouse activities including receiving, put away, and overall organization of product in the warehouse; helps manage staff and ensure efficient operations. The role emphasizes staff supervision, fleet/delivery vehicle coordination, DOT compliance, inventory control (cycle counting), lift operation with certification training, and Smith System training, along with a focus on customer service and independent as well as team-based problem-solving. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years’ distribution center operations experience
- supervision /management preferred
- Experience managing fleet of delivery vehicles
- Operate vehicles under DOT compliance
- Possess a valid regular driver’s license
- some states may require a Class D license
- Insurable by Company’s insurance carrier
- Inventory management and cycle counting
- Proven customer service skills
- Ability to operate a lift
- All positions that require the use of a lift, will be provided training to obtain lift certification
- Ability to become Smith System certified. Training will be provided by the company
