Job Summary
Assistant Director, Youth Protection Compliance Program at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing FAU’s Youth Protection Compliance Program in alignment with federal, state, and university requirements. The role includes policy development, training and education on child abuse prevention and mandated reporting, site visits and audits, guidance to campus units hosting youth programs, data collection and analysis to measure program effectiveness, and staying current on youth safety trends in higher education. The position reports to the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer and involves coordination with law enforcement and federal/state agencies as needed. Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization or bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in an appropriate area of specialization; or equivalent combination
- two years of appropriate experience for the master's path or four years for the bachelor's path; relevant experience in compliance, risk management, youth program administration, or related area (preferred)
- experience with policy development, training design/delivery, program evaluation, and data management in a large organization (preferred)
- ability to respond to reports of suspected child abuse or neglect and coordinate with law enforcement and agencies (required)
- exemption/administrative/managerial/professional track (AMP) status with salary range provided (implied by posting)
- background in higher education compliance/youth protection programs (preferred)
