Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Technical will play a critical role in IMG Academy’s volleyball program, focusing on developing and implementing high-performance training frameworks to enhance both team and individual performance. Responsibilities include refining volleyball training programs through data-driven metrics, leading a team of coaches to foster a culture of mentorship and excellence, and overseeing operational aspects such as staffing and scheduling. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, proven coaching experience, and strong communication and leadership skills, ensuring compliance with policies and promoting athlete welfare.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Proven coaching experience at the professional, collegiate, or elite youth level required.
- Demonstrated experience in program leadership, including coach development, staff supervision, recruitment, and performance management within a high-performance environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and inform a wide range of stakeholders including athletes, staff, parents, and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic, campus-wide environment.
- A strategic thinker with a business-oriented mindset and the ability to drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on student-athlete development and well-being.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with the ability to utilize software and tools to enhance curriculum delivery and administrative efficiency.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions for extended periods and move freely across athletic facilities including fields, turf areas, and indoor training spaces.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as program needs require.
- Ability and availability to travel for competitions, recruiting, and other program-related events.

- Valid driver’s license with ability to drive for tournaments, games, travel
