Job Summary
Administrative and financial deputy for the School of Nursing's research mission. Responsibilities include overseeing research operations, grant and contracts administration, budgeting and financial reporting, development and monitoring of policies/procedures, and collaboration with the Associate Dean for Research, principal investigators, and offices such as the Office of Research and Project Administration. Develops and defends budgets, supports renewal/submission of grants, manages sub-award contracts, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides strategic analysis and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Lead and mentor staff, coordinate with internal and external partners, and ensure data integrity across financial and research processes. Familiarity with NIH grant reporting, URGEMS, myURHR, Smartsheet, UR Financials, and CLASP certification is referenced as part of the required and preferred qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5 years of research and grant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Leadership, analytical, organizational, communication skills required
- Familiarity with federal NIH-grant reporting mechanisms required
- Knowledge of URGEMS, myURHR, Smartsheet, and UR Financials preferred
- Continuous Learning for Administrators of Sponsored Programs (CLASP) within 1 year required
