Job Summary
Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission leads and supports recruitment efforts, plans and implements recruitment events in designated geographic areas, conducts school visits, leads information sessions (in person and virtual), reviews applications (including transfer and international) and makes admission recommendations, supports marquee events (Open House, Preview Days, Transfer Admit Day), collaborates with marketing teams on promotional materials, travels extensively to cultivate enrollment opportunities, represents Santa Clara University to prospective students, families, high school counselors, alumni, and community organizations, and contributes to strategic travel and territory planning while working within a public-facing admissions team. The role involves presenting to groups, counseling applicants on admission and financial aid processes, coordinating events, and handling related administrative duties; a bachelor’s degree is required and 0-3 years of professional experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 0-3 years of professional work experience (including work experience while in college)
- Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain
- Proficiency with PC programs including Windows, Word, Excel; working knowledge of Workday, Google Suite, Canva and Slate is highly desirable
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive a vehicle during the day and at night, and for long distances (up to 50-100 miles in a day)
- Ability to multitask and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to represent the University publicly in person and virtually
- Knowledge of Jesuit Catholic mission and values is desirable
- Bachelor’s degree required; experience in a college admission environment is highly desirable
