Job Summary
Proactively build relationships with students, alumni, and employers to coach them through vocational journeys, major exploration, and job searching. Lead the annual Envision event, develop digital and print resources, and co-plan campus initiatives like the sophomore retreat and senior launch. Facilitate workshops and classes on calling and career topics while partnering with faculty to integrate these themes into the co-curricular plan. Oversee marketing communications, assist with employer recruitment, and manage student worker supervision. Maintain accurate records via Handshake, administer the First Destination Survey, and serve as the primary decision-maker for the team in the Assistant Dean's absence.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree required: Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling or Equivalent
- 3-5 years of industry related experience
- Prior experience working with college or high school students in a coaching/counseling capacity preferred
- Experience coaching and developing students at the college or high school level
- Ability to communicate in effective and life-giving ways
- Adept at cultivating relationships of high trust with students
- Collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Active contributor to the Calling and Career team
- Cultivate a strong office culture oriented towards service and hospitality
- Professionalism as displayed in timeliness
- Strong organizational skills

- Active member of a Protestant evangelical Christian church
- Supports and has an articulate understanding of the Reformed faith

- Expressing an evangelical Christian profession of faith
- Demonstrate the ability to integrate a Christian perspective in their work
- Must be able to perform the following: talking, hearing, and seeing
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity to be able to operate all office equipment including, but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, scanners, and telephones
- Must be able to reason, analyze, prioritize, conceptualize, make judgments, and solve problems
- Must recognize that management of data, including personal information, grades, budgets, programs, and policies is necessary to the operation of the College
- Such information must be kept private and confidential for the protection of the College and to obey Federal and/or State laws
- Must be able to perform the essential responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
