Job Summary
Assistant Director of Student Services for the Two-Year MBA and Master of Professional Studies programs at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Responsible for comprehensive academic advising, personal support, and international student engagement; coordinates tutoring, academic support initiatives, and events; collaborates with admissions, student activities, career management, and other campus partners to enhance the student experience; travels occasionally for conferences and meetings; on-site, Ithaca-based role with a three-year term and salary range $72,209–$77,625, requiring a bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience; emphasis on inclusive programming, visa-related processes, and FERPA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination
- Demonstrated experience working with a broad array of stakeholders to craft and implement collaborative, high-quality academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular programming and events
- Experience in program design, delivery, and evaluation
- Ability to connect with students of all backgrounds and experience levels; experience advising them on academic, professional, and personal goals
- Strong public speaking, writing, and editing skills
- Demonstrated project management, organizational skills, and detail orientation
- Must be able to balance significant complexity and competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information in accordance with University policies and FERPA regulations
- Ability to attend meetings and events across campus, often traveling on foot
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed outside of campus to attend conferences, trainings, and/or meetings with stakeholders and external vendors, although travel outside the university is expected to be limited to one or two times a year
- Experience working directly with people from various socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members
