Assistant Director of Stadium Events

Job Summary
Drive revenue and build relationships by serving as a key piece of the events team for the Columbus Clippers and promoting Huntington Park's offerings to local planners and corporate decision-makers. Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and database research while collaborating with operations, marketing, and sponsorship teams to package special events and hospitality activations. Manage the full event lifecycle from walk-throughs and contract negotiations to pre-event planning, staffing, and execution, ensuring superior customer service before, during, and after each engagement. Serve on the comprehensive events team for large-scale stadium events with attendance of 10,000+ and lead the Columbus Clippers Holiday Lights event each winter. This full-time, in-office role requires working long hours, holidays, evenings, and weekends to match the organization's growth.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 4 years of related experience with a working knowledge of local and/or regional markets, event or venue operations, sales or marketing in the event industry
- Must be able to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Creative thinker who can present new event ideas and ways to maximize Huntington Park year-round
