Job Summary
Build backlog and accelerate sales pace in the high-end group market while leading segments to exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals. Analyze critical accounts, negotiate optimal revenue situations, and handle key accounts at the property level. Spearhead new group business through industry relationships, participate in sales presentations and client meetings, and contribute to direct-sales action plans. Assist the Sales Director with goal setting, forecasting, and budget management. Maintain arrival logs, grow client databases, and attend departmental meetings. Provide timely guest feedback, handle complaints, and convert calls to bookings. This role supports revenue generation for the group segment at a luxury resort, requiring strategic thought leadership and extensive hospitality sales experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strategic thought leadership in hospitality sales and marketing
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Strong direct sales experience in developing new markets, especially those inclined towards luxury resorts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive experience and/or knowledge of the contracting process and negotiations
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Salesforce, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, and preferably Opera
- Goal-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Strong customer service skills
- Understanding of budgetary and fiscal responsibility within the department
- Familiarity with all operational areas of the resort
- College graduate or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a sales leader in a luxury resort property
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Opera PMS and Agency360 is desirable
