Job Summary
Assistant Director of Residential Education at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus leads staff supervision and development for Residence Life, oversees the residential curriculum and student staff training, and participates in crisis response and on-call rotations as essential personnel. The role involves supervising Residence Life Coordinators and creating, implementing, and assessing educational priorities and curriculum, authoring guide materials for residential interactions, assigning program responsibilities, maintaining visibility in residence halls, and coordinating training and professional development for staff. Responsibilities include staff coaching and accountability, scheduling on-call coverage, developing learning outcomes for training, communicating with parents/guardians, and participating in regular staff meetings. Requires a Master’s degree and 3-5 years of related experience in housing/residence life, with on-campus residency requirements and on-call crisis management expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in student development, Higher Education, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in student support (housing or residence life)
- Experience designing and implementing training presentations and ongoing development plans
