Job Summary
Assist in guiding Penn State’s Startup Leadership Network (SLN) and startup ecosystem efforts by engaging prospective SLN members, matching them to startup advisory/mentoring roles, and overseeing participation frameworks (advisory, mentoring, or other roles). Organize and conduct SLN programs and events (including Board of Advisors recruitment meetings and training sessions for startup CEOs), and provide ongoing guidance to startup CEOs and Penn State startups. Build and maintain a network of entrepreneurial alumni across the United States, support NSF I-Corps teams and related TIP programs, and coordinate compensation and approvals for SLN engagements. The role emphasizes technology commercialization, new venture creation, collaboration, fundraising, and stakeholder management, with a hybrid work arrangement (three days on campus and two remote days) and some periodic travel within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher
- 3+ years of relevant experience in technology commercialization, entrepreneurship education, or startup ecosystem roles
- Experience in identifying and engaging startups for advisory/mentoring programs
- Experience coordinating programs and events (Board of Advisors, Mentor in Residence, SLN)
- Strong planning, budgeting, and collaboration skills
