Assistant Director of Pharmacy Infusion - Full Time / Days - Center City

Job Summary

Lead operational leadership, administrative oversight, and clinical management for the hospital's pharmacy department, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective medication distribution while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate pharmacy staff to cultivate a culture of accountability and patient safety. Drive quality improvement initiatives, manage pharmaceutical budgets, and implement cost containment strategies. Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize formulary management, implement medication safety protocols, and reduce medication errors through root cause analysis. Oversee pharmacy automation systems, electronic health record workflows, and automated dispensing cabinets. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school, three years of hospital or ambulatory pharmacy experience, and a Registered Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania. Full-time day shift at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • 3 years Minimal of 3 years of related hospital and/or ambulatory pharmacy experience, showcasing progressive clinical or supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong foundational knowledge of contemporary hospital/ambulatory pharmacy practice and clinical therapeutics
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex interpersonal dynamics and resolve conflicts constructively
  • Analytical capability to interpret clinical, operational, and financial data to drive decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across diverse multidisciplinary teams
  • RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania
  • Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
  • Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force)
  • lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking
  • Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
  • performing activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctorate Doctor of Pharmacy Managerial in an Infusion Pharmacy setting
