Job Summary
Serve as the primary on-property People & Culture contact for Recess team members and managers, providing day-to-day coaching on employee relations, performance concerns, and policy interpretation. Support employee relations matters including intake, fact-finding, investigations, and corrective action while maintaining accurate HRIS data and personnel files. Coordinate onboarding, benefits administration, leave of absence, and compliance training to ensure practices align with federal, state, and local employment laws. Partner with leadership to resolve workplace issues before escalation and reinforce a service-oriented culture across the new lifestyle hotel.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong generalist background with hands-on experience in employee relations, onboarding, compliance, HR administration, and manager support
- Experience handling sensitive employee matters with sound judgment, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, documentation standards, and workplace compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in hospitality, luxury service, or another high-touch service environment
- Prior experience supporting a hotel, resort, restaurant, or multi-shift operational environment
- Rippling experience
- equivalent experience will be considered
