Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary
Oversees and supports nursing operations as Assistant Director of Nursing in a nonprofit long-term care setting. Assists the Director of Nursing with directing, evaluating, and supervising patient care, developing individualized care plans, coordinating rehabilitation programs, evaluating care relative to patient needs, and leading patient care conferences. Supports medication administration, treatment, rehabilitation, and restorative care aligned with physician orders and patient needs. Contributes to education programs, quality assurance, and infection control, and facilitates open communication with consultants. Demonstrates servant leadership to promote the system’s image and collaborates on care planning, MDS processes, and committee work. Requires a Georgia RN license and demonstrated supervisory experience in rehabilitative and geriatric nursing.
Required Qualifications
- RN nursing degree (Georgia) from an accredited college or university
- Georgia RN License
- minimum two years of supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care nursing center
- training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- education, training, and/or experience in rehabilitative nursing, geriatric nursing and/or psychosocial nursing
