Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring that health services meet regulatory guidelines and compliance with NYSED guidelines. Key duties include supervising nursing staff, coordinating health care needs, overseeing clinic appointments, and providing educational training for staff and residents. The role requires a New York State registered nurse license, a minimum of five years of nursing experience with supervisory responsibilities, and experience in pediatric or psychiatric nursing. The position entails maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and supporting a culturally competent environment.
Required Qualifications
- NYS license as a registered nurse
- At least 5 years' experience in nursing
- Demonstrated competence in pediatric, developmental disabilities or psychiatric nursing
- At least 1 year's supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license
