Job Summary
Assist the Director of Nursing in managing and delivering nursing services, including planning, organizing, direction, supervision, and evaluation of all center activities. Ensure department compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining resident care records and reports. Manage the Nursing department within budget in the Director's absence and oversee orientation and training of nursing personnel. Work on the floor with residents and staff, subject to an on-call rotation and occasional overnight travel. Requires a current RN license, strong financial and management skills, and ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license with the state
- Good financial and management skills
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel
- Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Meets all health requirements, as required by law
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
- Subject to call schedule
