Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing Services (RN) responsible for assisting in managing the nursing department and supporting the Director of Nursing Services. Key duties include interviewing applicants and recommending hires, participating in orientation and in-service education, conducting performance reviews and maintaining personnel files, ensuring regulatory-compliant documentation, assisting with care planning, conducting rounds to oversee care delivery, contributing to Continuous Quality Improvement, ensuring infection control techniques, and maintaining effective communication with families, residents, and staff. Requires active RN licensure, long-term care/geriatric experience preferred, minimum three years nursing experience with one year supervisory experience, and CPR (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Required Qualifications
- Current RN license by State Board of Nursing; license must be active, valid, and in good standing
- Experience in the long-term care or geriatric population preferred
- At least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience
- Active CPR or ability to obtain within the first 30-days of hire; CPR must remain active and current throughout employment
