Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Texas Skilled Nursing Facility leads by supporting the Director of Nurses, overseeing supervision of nursing personnel, orientation, staffing, and resident records. Responsibilities include investigating unusual occurrences or alleged abuse, protecting resident rights, and ensuring regulatory compliance under federal, state, and county laws. Emphasis on leadership, customer service, effective communication, and maintaining professional competence; on-the-spot interviews are available at the Dallas location.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing or an approved LVN program
- Current nursing licensure as a nurse in the State in which practicing. A Registered Nurse is preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in supervision
- Demonstrates leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing
- Administrative ability with evidence of professional competence and flexibility
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and county laws governing skilled care nursing facilities
