Assistant Director of Nursing (RN)-Infection Control Nurse

Job Summary
Oversee the nursing centers' Infection Control and Prevention Program to minimize infection risk, manage the employee health program including universal influenza initiatives, and facilitate infection control training for new hires and annual competency training for nurses administering tuberculosis testing. Conduct rounds on residents to ensure care aligns with Ivy Hill standards, review nurses' notes for descriptiveness, and monitor restraint use and quality of care via monthly audits. Moderate weekly Resident Care Conferences, assist in scheduling staff, and develop education programs based on quality assurance needs. Cover weekends, holidays, and call responsibilities on a rotating basis with the Director of Nursing and Staff Development Coordinator. Assume responsibility of the Director of Nursing in their absence. Complete annual compliance and HIPAA training while reporting concerns per the Compliance Program.
Required Qualifications
- Valid PA RN License
- Knowledge of current nursing practices
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations in Long Term Care
- Completion of the CDC Infection Preventionist Online Course
- Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid
- Computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- 2-5 years of nurse leadership experience preferred
