Job Summary

Coordinate the day-to-day functions of the nursing department by assisting the Director of Nurses with planning, staffing needs, recruitment, hiring, and training. Manage resident care continuity by communicating with physicians, families, and other services while developing work assignments and schedules. Support quality assurance by participating in the daily start-up process, serving on the Quality Assurance Committee, reviewing clinical records, and implementing compliance actions. Participate in the facility's nursing on-call schedule and assist with MDS assessments and care plans as needed. Requires current Texas RN licensure, three years of skilled nursing facility experience, and frequent lifting, carrying, and transferring of residents.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have completed a RN program at an accredited vocational schools, college, or university
  • Must possess a current Texas RN Licensure
  • Must have experience working in a skilled nursing facility for at least 3 years

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred to possess a current RUG certification
