Job Summary
Oversee daily nursing home operations by ensuring smooth functioning and resident safety through direct engagement with medical needs, personal care, and medication administration. Manage staff handovers, attend client meetings, and facilitate Care Plan audits while maintaining high integrity in financial and personal interactions. Coordinate visits from GPs and district nurses to address illness notifications and nutritional requirements. Maintain full NMBI registration with three years of post-registration and managerial experience, adhering to HIQA guidelines. Required Qualifications
- Complete registration with Ireland's Nursing and Midwifery Board
- Minimum of three years' worth of post-registration experience caring for senior citizens throughout the preceding six years
- Minimum of three years' worth of managerial experience in health and social care
- Post-registration management degree in health or a similar subject
- Solid grasp of the rules and guidelines given forth by HIQA in the context of nursing homes
Desired Qualifications
- Further diploma in gerontology
- Management degree (in addition to the required post-registration management degree)
