Job Summary
Conduct internal audits, coordinate staff inductions, and ensure compliance with HIQA standards and regulatory guidelines. Promote innovative practices to enhance resident care while implementing health and safety policies, including fire safety training and evacuation drills. Maintain hygiene standards, oversee preventative maintenance, and participate in staff recruitment and selection. Provide cover for the Director of Nursing as required and facilitate engagement meetings with clinical staff. Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home's local profile.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- minimum of three years' management experience within the last six years
- preferably in the care of older persons
- Relevant post-registration management qualification in healthcare or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in healthcare clinical management
- Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent decision-making abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond effectively to the evolving needs of the organisation
