Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role focused on coaching, mentoring, and supervising caregivers in the absence of a licensed nurse and the Director of Nursing, while directly supporting residents with activities of daily living and promoting independence. Responsibilities include creating caregiver schedules, acting as on-call for scheduling issues, supervising caregivers when needed, serving as Manager-on-Duty on a rotational basis, coordinating competency training and onboarding for new associates, problem-solving with new caregivers, arranging physician or therapy appointments and transportation, assisting residents with ADL per Individualized Service Plan, ensuring documentation in residents' medical records, supporting residents’ participation in activities, following medical record instructions, maintaining safety and infection control policies, reporting changes in resident status, protecting residents’ belongings, and potentially working weekends/evenings to cover staffing. Must meet education/licensure requirements and be prepared for interactions with residents requiring various levels of care, while adhering to company policies and applicable laws.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a college or technical school
- LPN or RN licensure in Nursing
- CBA (Community-Based Assessment) certification in Missouri
- Demonstrated experience in promoting high level of customer service and hospitality
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with accountability for results
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience with scheduling, training, and onboarding in caregiving settings
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and internet browsers
