Job Summary
Develop nursing policies, procedures, and reference materials while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Coordinate nursing services with resident services and lead surveys, implementing corrective action plans for deficiencies. Mentor Unit Managers, coach staff on care plans, and resolve conflicts to maintain clinical integrity. Manage infection control programs, restorative care initiatives, and staffing schedules to ensure high-quality, standardized resident care. Act as the Director of Nursing backup during absences, overseeing recruitment, orientation, and personnel actions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to demonstrate organizational and educational skills
- Previous experience in a hospital, long term care facility or other healthcare related facility
- Completion of an Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Basic computer skills, including email use
- Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care
- Must be a registered nurse
Desired Qualifications
- Long term care, skilled nursing experience is preferred
