Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary
Conduct internal audits of nursing practices, develop correction plans for identified deficits, and manage the nursing budget to stay within established parameters. Lead the quality assessment and improvement process, including monthly audits of medical orders, while ensuring adequate staffing levels for patient care. Facilitate employer/employee relations, recruit nursing personnel, and maintain hiring processes in compliance with state and federal regulations. Perform clinical rounds, assess technical skills and nursing judgment, and identify clinical problem areas to support the Director of Nursing. Implement infection control policies, investigate employee accidents, and evaluate staff development programs to meet facility objectives. Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 nursing support. Requires an active RN license in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
- Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead a team of nursing staff
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the facility
- This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening
