Assistant Director of Nursing

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN at Meadowbrook Respiratory & Nursing Center in Perth Amboy, NJ. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance with CMS and New Jersey Department of Health, mentor nursing staff, participate in hiring, orientation, evaluations, and corrective action, and support quality initiatives to promote positive resident outcomes. Responsibilities include clinical leadership across shifts, conducting rounds, following up on resident concerns, survey readiness, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The role also involves infection prevention, admissions, and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service. Qualifications include a current New Jersey RN license, minimum 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility, supervisory/leadership experience preferred, strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes, and excellent communication and organizational skills; experience in subacute, respiratory, or ventilator care is a plus.
