Job Summary
Assist the Director of Nursing in administering and managing Nursing Services to residents, ensuring compliance with physician orders, regulations, and facility policies. Responsible for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services, directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care, and assumes clinical operations in the Director's absence. Performs the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation—under the State Nurse Practice Act. Coordinates total resident care plans, interprets policies to staff, participates in admissions decisions, and supports daily/weekly management team meetings. Ensures compassionate, quality care, adequate staffing, cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and optimal resident function. May participate in various duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced
- Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required
- Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required
