Job Summary
Oversee the facility's Performance Improvement Program and PRI/MDS processes to ensure regulatory compliance and maximize reimbursement. Deliver daily supervisory oversight of nursing staff and clinical operations while coordinating employee safety initiatives and LTC attendance procedures. Assume Nurse Manager responsibilities during absences, chair nursing operations committees, and participate in recruitment for CNA candidates. Support fiscal responsibility through budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control strategies. Work full-time day shift with on-call duties to fulfill 24-hour accountability for a skilled nursing facility in Waterloo, New York.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
- Four (4) years of managerial experience with demonstrated leadership abilities in a Long-Term Care setting
- Two (2) years of nursing experience
- Knowledge and application of New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) regulations, including successful experience with the survey process
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with medical staff, department leaders, residents, families, and the public in a resident- and family-centered environment
- Ability to function effectively in high-stress or challenging situations
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Professional Nursing
- Prior experience at the Assistant Director of Nursing level
- PRI and MDS knowledge and/or experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
