Job Summary
Assist the DON in planning nursing operations with management, Administrator, and Consultants; supervise and coach nursing staff; monitor unit activities and ensure quality care; conduct rounds to assess delivery of nursing services, coordination with support services, cleanliness, morale, and resident needs; manage administrative functions related to Nursing Services; support relationships with residents, families, and the medical team; dialysis den care management; contribute to teamwork and continuous improvement in a 200-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess valid, unencumbered RN Rhode Island License
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in hospital, nursing care center, or related healthcare setting
- Experience in supervision and teaching principles/practice
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, and external agencies
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to nursing care facilities
