Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing will oversee the health activities in Jawonio Residences and programs, providing comprehensive nursing services to residents. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with nursing standards, conducting reviews of medical records, overseeing nursing staff, participating in quality improvement activities, and engaging in management meetings related to health care. Candidates should have a valid NYS Registered Nurse license, supervisory experience, and a capacity for maintaining confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by NYS to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Supervisory responsibilities experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in New York State
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program
- Experience in a supervisory position
Additional Requirements
- Daily access to an automobile is required
- Valid New York State Driver’s License is required
- Must be cleared by the Justice Center via fingerprinting and other background checks
- Must maintain an acceptable record under the Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance process
- Remain current with First Aid/CPR certifications
