Job Summary
Assist the Director of Nursing with planning, organizing, and overseeing daily nursing operations to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and quality care. Monitor resident conditions, review changes in status, and assist with clinical rounds, chart reviews, audits, and quality checks while promoting regulatory compliance and survey readiness. Supervise and coach nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to support onboarding, training, and ongoing development in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment. Address resident and family concerns, participate in care conferences, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop action plans for quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska
- CPR certification or ability to obtain
- Knowledge of nursing standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory expectations
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Desired Qualifications
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience
- Previous supervisory, charge nurse, management, or leadership experience
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to coach, educate, and support staff in a professional and positive manner
