Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary
Oversee all nursing operations within the facility by partnering with the Director of Nursing to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting regulations. Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical services while collaborating with other departments to meet residents' holistic care needs. Mentor nursing staff through onboarding, conduct regular meetings to address challenges, and participate in Quality Assurance, Infection Control, and Safety committees. Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and facilitate facility surveys and accreditation visits. Requires current Florida RN license, Bachelor's degree, two years in skilled nursing leadership, and on-call availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Administration
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare facility
- Strong knowledge of OBRA, Joint Commission, and state regulations
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- 2 years in skilled nursing in a leadership role
- Will be required to participate in an on-call schedule
- Possibly work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and engage teams in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for working with geriatric and sub-acute populations
