Job Summary
Direct and oversee the Nursing Service Department in a long-term care/assisted living facility, planning, organizing, developing, and directing operations while ensuring compliance with current standards. Manage the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP), develop and update policies and procedures, determine staffing needs and schedules, supervise training and performance, participate in resident admissions, and plan the nursing department budget. Must be an active Registered Nurse with a license in the state; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred. Strong emphasis on delivering high-quality resident care, staff collaboration, safety, and regulatory compliance. Proactively lead quality improvement, coordinate with administration, families, and residents, and ensure adherence to CDC/OSHA guidelines and infection control practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program
- Must maintain a current, unencumbered, active RN license in the state
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 1 year of supervisor experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related health care facility
- Prefer minimum 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
