Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Windmill Village Rehabilitation and Care Center oversees nursing services, collaborates with medical staff, and supports regulatory compliance, quality assurance and discharge planning. Responsibilities include planning and directing day-to-day nursing functions, coordinating with MDS/RAI, ensuring staffing information and quality measures are maintained, developing nursing policies, participating in Care Plan and QAPI activities, supervising licensed nurses and CNAs, and leading staff development and safety initiatives. Requires an RN or LVN license with supervisory experience in a healthcare facility, leadership ability, knowledge of nursing practices and applicable regulations, and the ability to work independently and with teams.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree (RN or LVN) from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related health care facility
- Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Current unencumbered active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas
