Job Summary
Lead 24/7 nursing operations by initiating individualized care plans, assessing resident conditions, administering medications, and assigning staff based on capabilities. Conduct daily rounds, interpret test results, and ensure all assessments and incident reports align with state/federal guidelines. Manage infection prevention protocols, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and establish job specifications for nursing staff. Develop policies governing nursing operations, control department budgets, and supervise supportive staff in safety and equipment maintenance. Act as a team leader and role model while addressing cultural practices that support medical therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited RN or LPN school of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Practice Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Valid CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- One year of nursing experience is preferred
- Prior nursing management/leadership is preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
