Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Chief Clinical Officer in overseeing clinical operations at a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing nursing services per standards and regulations; supervising RNs, LVNs, and CNAs; coordinating resident care with the healthcare team; participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives; contributing to staff training and development; supporting administrative functions and weekend coverage; and handling hiring, progressive discipline, and coaching. Requires California RN license (BSN preferred) and 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience; PCC knowledge; strong leadership and communication skills; vaccination as required by policy.
Required Qualifications
- California Registered Nurse license (BSN preferred)
- Three to five years nursing leadership experience; direct personnel management experience highly preferred
- Strong professional communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Authorized to work in the United States
