Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) serves as a clinical operational liaison between units and the Director of Nursing, overseeing daily nursing unit operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with center policies, practice standards, and regulations. Responsible for facilitating the care delivery model, coordinating with departments, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction. Duties include nursing department leadership (staffing, scheduling, policy enforcement), quality assurance and compliance (chart audits, infection control, care planning, QA initiatives), and staff development (hiring, training, performance reviews) under the supervision of the DON, with BSN preferred and active RN license required. Certification in BLS/CPR and English proficiency are specified; the role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within long-term care or geriatric settings. Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum of three years nursing experience including at least one year in a supervisory role
- BSN preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
