Job Summary
Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure quality patient care. Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff while overseeing infection control and assuming DON duties during absence. Provide direct nursing care as necessary and perform functions of a staff nurse when required. Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and support departments while adhering to Life Care standards and compliance training. Communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate dependable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- ASN or BSN from accredited college or university
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must maintain CPR certification current during employment
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred
- preferably in post-acute care
