Job Summary
Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure quality patient care. Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff while overseeing infection control and assuming DON duties during absence. Provide direct nursing care as necessary, perform functions of a staff nurse, and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, vendors, and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to compliance training, and demonstrate excellent customer service. Requires current RN license, ASN or BSN, and two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- ASN or BSN from accredited college or university
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care
