Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) oversees the Patient Engagement Department’s staffing, scheduling, and documentation compliance; coordinates onboarding and training for patient engagement specialists; provides coaching on documentation, observation standards, and policy compliance; monitors departmental metrics and ensures regulatory readiness; leads community meetings and collaborates with nursing staff to support the recovery process; ensures patient engagement specialists monitor meals and patient movement, escalate safety concerns, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment; supports designated nursing shifts and participates in regulatory audits and environmental checks; must hold an active RN or LPN license with at least an Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3 years scheduling experience and 2 years with Substance Abuse/Behavioral Health populations preferred; on-call rotation and limited autonomy within the facility.”,
Required Qualifications
- Must hold active RN or LPN license in the state
- Must hold at least an Associate Degree in Nursing
- RN preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-year prior experience in scheduling
- 2-year prior experience with Substance Abuse populations and/or Behavioral Health preferred
- Crisis Intervention Training preferred
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Be committed to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use
- Passion or interest in substance abuse issues preferred
