Job Summary
Manage daily unit operations to ensure quality service aligning with facility policy and state/federal regulations. Prepare staffing plans for Director of Nursing review, coordinate nursing personnel duties based on resident needs, and establish infection prevention policies. Perform daily rounds evaluating care and supervising staff, while attending interdisciplinary conferences to input into resident care plans. Participate in annual budgeting, counsel staff on performance deficiencies, assist with applicant interviews, and investigate unit incidents. Monitor medical record accuracy and identify unsafe practices to institute corrective action. Maintain clinical competency and current knowledge base.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
- Minimum of 3 years' Progressive experience in an acute or long-term care facility
- Proven leadership abilities and supervisory experience
- Current CPR license
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university or related field
