Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the assigned unit to ensure quality service in accordance with facility policy and State and Federal regulations. Prepare staffing plans for Director of Nursing review and coordinate nursing personnel duties based on resident care needs. Establish infection prevention policies, perform daily rounds evaluating care rendered, and attend interdisciplinary conferences to contribute to residents' plans of care. Supervise staff by counseling on performance deficiencies, orienting new hires, and identifying unsafe practices to institute corrective action. Review unit incidents, monitor medical record accuracy, and participate in the annual budget process to identify staff and equipment needs.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
- Minimum of 3 years' Progressive experience in an acute or long-term care facility
- Proven leadership abilities and supervisory experience
- Current CPR license

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university or related field
