Job Summary

Supervise nursing staff and ensure policies and procedures are followed to protect patient rights, dignity, and health. Collaborate with medical, mental health, and correctional staff to enhance quality care while maintaining a safe environment. Monitor staffing needs, conduct performance evaluations, and create schedules for adequate coverage. Perform daily clinical rounds, assist in triage and minor procedures, and ensure equipment and pharmaceuticals are stocked. Maintain accurate patient records and develop staff through in-service training. Mitigate risks by addressing hazards and reporting issues to leadership. Requires an Arizona RN license, two years of correctional healthcare management experience, and BLS certification. Full-time role in Florence, Arizona with pay ranging from $45.00 to $49.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in Arizona
  • Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification
  • Two years of clinical and progressive management experience providing comprehensive medical, dental, and mental healthcare services within a correctional healthcare or acute care setting
  • Ability to manage complex staffing matrices and clinical supplies
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience managing and training medical staff
  • Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods
  • Must have the ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)
  • Must have the ability to bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR
