Assistant Director of Nursing ADON

As Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator to ensure the highest quality of resident care. You will plan and direct the nursing service department, develop and maintain written policies and procedures, maintain a reference library of nursing materials, develop the nursing service organization structure, provide written and oral reports to the Administrator, coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care, and implement and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
