Job Summary
Support staffing needs by assisting floor staffing when required. Oversee resident care through MDS, care planning, performance improvement, and infection control programs. Manage nursing staff by hiring, training, evaluating, assigning, and delegating duties based on census and budget. Ensure accurate documentation by reviewing and maintaining up-to-date resident records. Develop care plans by collaborating with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants. Support staff resources by ensuring timely access to equipment and supplies. Uphold infection control by conducting assessments and implementing effective measures. This role requires a licensed nurse with geriatric or long-term care experience and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Is a licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
- Has strong technical skills and proven leadership/management experience
- Brings a background in geriatric or long-term care nursing
- Embraces a restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills
- Has working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
