Job Summary
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing services; collaborating with medical professionals; coordinating with staff and committees; ensuring regulatory compliance; developing care plans and discharge plans; monitoring quality measures and participating in QAPI; providing direct nursing care when needed and supporting the nursing staff to deliver high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree (RN or LVN) from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related health care facility
- Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Current unencumbered active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas
