Job Summary
Coordinate daily maintenance operations by receiving, prioritizing, and completing work order requests from campus departments. Supervise facilities support staff by assigning tasks, establishing performance standards, and conducting evaluations. Manage preventative maintenance schedules and respond to emergency repairs across structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Order materials, maintain inventory, and assist with special event setups, snow removal, and weather-related campus needs. Serve as the primary on-call contact when the Director of Maintenance is unavailable. Prioritize urgent maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols and supporting the Academy's mission to maintain a secure, functional environment for students.
Required Qualifications
- Previous facilities maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices
- Basic knowledge of structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and respond appropriately to urgent maintenance needs
- Ability to effectively supervise and work collaboratively with maintenance staff and other Academy departments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must participate in random drug testing
- Must be available to respond to emergencies
- Must be available for other campus needs as required
- Must be able to stand
