Job Summary
Assist the Director of Maintenance with daily department operations, including hands-on repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Complete and oversee preventive maintenance work orders while conducting routine facility and safety inspections to ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, OSHA, and Life Safety Code requirements. Troubleshoot building and mechanical issues, coordinate with contractors, and maintain all repair documentation. Participate in on-call coverage for emergencies and assist with department oversight during the Director's absence. Full-time role with occasional after-hours availability; competitive pay and benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous building or facility maintenance experience
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Must be available for occasional after-hours/on-call emergencies
