Job Summary
Assist the Director of HR with managing the HR staff and department operations; provide training to management across the island; conduct investigations into violations of company policy and government laws (harassment, discrimination, retaliation, theft); develop new policies/procedures; oversee performance management and training programs; support payroll, compensation, benefits, recruitment, and retention; perform interviews and investigations; advise management on policy violations, disability and leave management, conflict resolution, and risk; draft written communications; attend mediations, depositions, and hearings as needed; maintain confidentiality of information; require strong experience in internal investigations, employee relations, and training; seek continuous improvement in employee relations practices; maintain and improve formal training programs for management; ensure compliance with federal and state regulations; collaborate with legal counsel when necessary; stay updated on industry trends in payroll and benefits; perform duties with accuracy and timeliness; flexibility to travel for training and investigations as needed.
