Job Summary
Assistant Director of Housing Operations leads day-to-day housing operations, including housing assignments, room selection processes, and eRezLife system administration. Responsibilities span housing assignments, operations, and liaison duties with Facilities and Accessibility Services, plus administration of break and summer housing programs, and supervision of Residence Life Coordinators. The role emphasizes customer service, policy communication, and collaboration across campus partners, with a 12-month, full-time schedule and variable hours including evenings and weekends to support campus activities and events.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs or related field and minimum of two years of experience working in residence life, housing, student development, or closely related fields (intern/graduate experience will be considered) OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with housing/occupancy management software (direct experience with eRezLife is highly desirable)
- Demonstrated aptitude for working and communicating effectively in a professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond effectively in high-stress situations
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment and workplace and an ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty and student populations
